Fast Diet for Fast Results – Try the Flight Attendant Diet

Every now and then we just have to lose weight quick, and a fast diet will be the best way to go. Basically you can do that just by consuming very little and drinking a lot of water for some days, but it is usually easier to follow some guidelines so you do not have to plan the diet yourself. The flight attendant diet, also called the stewardess diet, the TWA diet or the 4 day wonder diet, is one of the fast diets which last only a couple of days and promise that you will lose up to 10 pounds during the diet. This diet is very popular amongst flight attendants and career women. If you need to lose weight fast, diets like the flight attendant diet are one possible solution. There is nothing wrong with fast diets when used only now and then, but it is good to know some facts before starting.

Fast diets take a lot of will power

When you read tips on how to lose weight, not that many of them mention that you will be hungry when dieting. This is the biggest downside of any low calorie diet. If you eat a lot less than your daily calorie requirement, you will feel like you were starving (which is true)! That is why it is good to make some plans for the dieting days to keep you busy. Sitting home and dreaming about all the awesome foods there are will not help. It might be a good idea not to keep any treats at home during your fast diet. Also choose the time of your diet well: Christmas holidays or other festive times full of delicious foods and temptations are not good times for dieting.

The results might not be permanent…

Short diets do not help you achieve sustainable, healthy weight loss unless you change your eating habits. These diets are the quickest way to lose weight, but the weight loss achieved with these diets is due to a severe calorie restriction and a lot of it is from water loss. If you go back to your original eating habits after following the diet, you will most likely gain back the weight you lost. Losing and gaining weight like this is called a yo-yo-effect, which is unhealthy.

Now to the upsides: a fast diet is good for getting your weight losing started or fitting into a dress within some days. Seeing some quick results and actually fitting into that dress of yours can be very motivating. If you hope to lose 20 pounds or more, you need to find a more sustainable way to lose weight, but the TWA diet can be a great way to jumpstart a longer weight loss project. Exercises to lose weight are not recommended when you are trying to lose weight quick with a fast weight loss diet, because your energy level is so low. You might feel yourself tired and lacking energy during the diet. The flight attendant diet is an extreme diet with a strict calorie restriction, and it is not suitable for long term use. Always remember to consult your doctor before starting any diets if you have any health concerns.
