Quick Diets Are Not the Best Diets

Quick diets and yoyo-dieting have become more and more common. Losing and gaining weight and trying to lose it again is unhealthy, one possible reason behind cellulite and last but not least, annoying and frustrating! If you have ever worked hard to drop several pounds only to notice them creeping back on you pretty soon after you got off the diet, you know how it feels. Looking for a new weight loss method over and over again is tiring and destroys your motivation as well.

Basically there is only one reason for so many good dieting attempts failing. Most people don’t know how to diet properly. They start extreme quick diets which work on the basis of a calorie limitation and promise fast results. They are ready and willing to use all the willpower they have to make the diet a success. Everything seems to be going well in the beginning, but then one of the two things happen. The first possibility is that they finally reach the end of their diet plan, celebrate their success and go back to their original eating habits. The second possibility is that they are all set up for losing weight, but the diet is so limiting that they gradually start slipping in their dieting… and end up going back to their original eating habits. And here’s the problem and the explanation: if you have gained weight, it means that something is not right with the way you eat normally. A temporary change, let it be up or down, in your food intake will only have temporary effects. The quickest ways to lose weight are pretty much useless, even harmful.

Permanent weight loss doesn’t happen overnight and despite all the wonder diets for quick weight loss advertised here and there, a quick diet with a strict calorie restriction is simply not the best answer to the question about how to lose weight fast. There is a way to prevent yourself from falling into this trap, and it is way easier than you think. You can still reach fast weight loss, but you need to adjust your thinking a bit. You must make some changes to your daily eating habits, so actually we are talking about a lifestyle change here. Limiting your calorie intake is one way to go, it will definitely make you lose some pounds, but it basically means starvation and having to give up many of the foods you love. That doesn’t sound like a great way to spend the rest of your life, does it?

Luckily there are other ways to modify your eating habits. Counting calories isn’t really necessary for weight loss, and neither is hunger. It is not a matter of how much you eat but what you eat. The best way to lose weight is to eliminate most sugar and processed foods from your diet and start living a low-carbohydrate life. You will get to eat as much as you want to and still enjoy most of your favorite foods (and find new ones). One good options is the no sugar, no flour diet. The carbohydrate conscious lifestyle has given millions of people the possibility to keep their weight in control while still enjoying the art of cooking and eating. If you are after a quick weight loss, diet with a sugar restriction is still your best choice: a low-carb diet can be a real fat burning diet if done properly. You can lose 1o pounds easily. Once you have reached your ideal weight, you can add some good carbohydrates on your food regime to stop the weight loss but still keep your weight under control.
