Weight Loss Tips – No More Hunger!

A completely new mindset

Most people don’t know that the best way to lose weight fast isn’t cutting down the calories and starting to exercise vigorously. Most weight loss tips we get are just not good! Counting your daily calorie requirement is no use if you continue eating wrong foods. What really helps is reducing your carbohydrate intake and eating more fats and protein, eating enough food high on nutrients and avoiding food additives. Following these guidelines will give you visible results within a couple of weeks. You won’t only lose weight but feel more energetic and happier… And you’ll never have to starve yourself again!

The reason we gain weight despite of exercise and low fat diet plans

To understand the principles behind these weight loss tips, we need to look into what causes us to gain weight in the first place. It comes down to the types of foods we consume. Basically our nutrition can be broken down to fats, protein and carbohydrates. For some decades now we have been told to avoid fats and eat plenty of carbohydrates, but the obesity problem keeps on growing even with all the diet products around. And here’s why: the problem is not fats, it’s carbs. The western cultures are full of them: rice, pasta, potatoes, chips, soft drinks, white bread, baked goods, french fries, candy…

Carbohydrates play a big part in weight gaining because of the way the human body works. Your body converts carbohydrates into blood sugar, glucose, which is used as energy. Carbohydrates are digested very quickly, which means that the level of the blood sugar will rise. Too much glucose will make the body to produce a lot of insulin to reduce the blood glucose level. Insulin turns glucose into glycogen, which is stored in the liver and in muscles. However, the body can only store a limited amount of glycogen and the excess glycogen is stored as body fat. This is why we gain weight. Furthermore, the insulin continues to store glucose even after the blood glucose level is back to normal, making the blood glucose level fall below normal, and soon you will feel hungry again and go for some (often high-carb) snacks and start the process all over again. You’re gaining weight while feeling hungry and the insulin levels in your blood stream will stay elevated, which is dangerous long-term and can lead to insulin resistance and diabetes. Consuming fats doesn’t make the blood glucose level rise so the insulin levels don’t rise either. Therefore fats consumed don’t end up as body fat.

In other words:
Eating a meal rich in carbohydrates makes the blood sugar level rise fast, and the body will try to get it back to balance by producing a lot of insulin. The high dose of insulin decreases the blood sugar level so much that you will get hungry again even when there’s actually an excess of glucose in your body. Soon you’ll find yourself eating again. This is a vicious cycle, which easily leads to gaining weight.

Now we know how it happens. The next step to find out what to do. So, here are the promised tips on how to lose weight:

Make the body burn fat, not glucose

For losing weight you need to burn the fats stored in your body. It will not happen by itself: your body will start using the body fat as fuel only if there’s no more glucose available. There are two possible ways to do make it happen: you can either starve yourself (low calorie diet) or you can consume less carbohydrates (the building material for glucose). You can start by eating less white bread, white rice and white pasta. Also avoid baked goods, french fries, candy and snack foods. These are replaced by vegetables, eggs, meat, poultry, dairy products, nuts….

Eat enough

Practice intuitive eating. Eat when you feel yourself hungry, regularly at least three times a day and enough to feel satisfied. Avoid snacking. If you think you suffer from emotional eating, seek help.

Eat clean, nutritious foods

Stay away from highly processed foods and food additives, especially artificial sweeteners. Processed foods are of poor nutritional quality and many food additives can actually make you gain weight or harm your body otherwise.

Many people have already tried these instructions and lost weight permanently. Many have also reported a visible reduction in cellulite without any exercise. On top of that there are several health benefits associated to the low carb diet, which is actually more of a lifestyle than a temporary annoyance. Once you see how good you feel on this diet, you will not want to go back to the high carb world.
